Friday marks anniversary of fatal Hilton fire
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Friday marks the anniversary of a fire at the Las Vegas Hilton that killed eight people 31 years ago.
The fire trapped some hotel guests in rooms while others used sheets to climb to safety.
200 people were injured and the damage was estimated at $13 million.
Investigators later arrested a bus boy who they said set an eighth-floor lobby curtain on fire with a marijuana cigarette.
The bus boy, Philip Bruce Cline, was convicted of arson and is serving life in prison.
