Teen hit at bus stop by possible drunk driver
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- A 15-year-old is in critical condition after being hit by a car while waiting at a bus stop near Spring Mountain Road and El Camino Road on Sunday.
According to witness statements and evidence at the scene, a 2005 Acura TSX was traveling west on Spring Mountain Road at about 5 a.m. when the car left the road and ran into the teenager and a bus shelter.
The teen was taken to University Medical Center with critical injuries.
The driver, 26-year old Noel Lardeo, failed a field sobriety test and was arrested for driving under the influence with substantial bodily harm.
There was also a passenger in the car -- 36-year-old Artemio Rios. Neither the driver or passenger complained of any injuries.
The accident remains under investigation.
