Las Vegas officials give away weddings at mob museum
LAS VEGAS (AP) -- Las Vegas tourism officials are offering a chance to get married in the city's new Mob Museum by a former mob defense attorney.
The "Married at the Mob Museum" contest runs through Jan. 31. Seven couples who enter the drawing on tourism website Vegas.com will win a Valentine's Day wedding or vow renewal ceremony.
Former Las Vegas Mayor Oscar Goodman will officiate the ceremonies inside the courtroom where famous mobsters were tried. Goodman has defended organized crime figures including Anthony "The Ant" Spilotro.
Winning couples will be the first members of the public to enter the museum on opening day. They will also be flown to Las Vegas for a two-night stay at the El Cortez Hotel, and receive flowers, photography, a champagne brunch and a shopping spree.
