Clark County, NV (KTNV) -- A local firefighter is accused of stealing money from the Clark County Fire Department and making fake 911 calls.

John Anthony Brush, 44, is facing nine counts of burglary, six counts of improper use of 911, and one count of theft. Ten of those charges are considered felonies.

According to police reports Brush would use his badge to get into empty fire stations after making fake 911 calls. Police reports say he would go in and take what's known as "chow money" -- money for food -- and other necessities.

Court paperwork alleges Brush stole around $650. The crimes allegedly happened from July 13 to August 27 of last year.

Brush is no longer working for the Clark County Fire Department.

He is set to appear in court for a preliminary hearing in April.
