1 killed in officer-involved shooting in northwest Las Vegas
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Police shot and killed a suspect after an attempted break-in Sunday night at a condominium community in northwest Las Vegas.
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department responded to a call about an attempted break-in at approximately 11:30 p.m. Sunday at the Alondra condos near North Rainbow Boulevard and Smoke Ranch Road.
The suspect in the attempted break-in had left the scene in a vehicle but returned while LVMPD was on scene.
According to LVMPD's Bill Cassell, the suspect rammed a police car as Metro was attempting to stop and talk to him. One officer then fired multiple shots, resulting in the death of the suspect.
No injuries to any officers have been reported.
