Police investigate deadly strip club shooting

LAS VEGAS, NV (KTNV) - Las Vegas Metropolitan Police have confirmed that a man shot in front of a local strip club early Sunday morning has died.

The incident occurred at around 4:30am outside the Deja Vu, located on the 4700 block of Arville St., just north of West Tropicana Avenue.

Detectives have learned that the victim got in a verbal argument in the club and was escorted out by security.

While standing in the valet, the victim was approached by an African-American male wearing a
hooded sweatshirt, who began firing multiple rounds at the victim.

The deceased was shot multiple times and transported to University Medical Center Trauma.

According to officials, the victim had been stabilized and was conscious when he was transported to UMC Trauma where he underwent surgery.

It was initially believed that his injuries are non-life threatening but the man was pronounced dead later Sunday afternoon at the hospital.

A second person, standing on a nearby street corner, was shot in the foot by a stray bullet. That person transported himself to Spring Valley Hospital.

Police are still searching for the suspect or suspects and do not have a motive at this time.

The identity of the victim is being withheld pending notification of next of kin and autopsy
by the Clark County Coroner's Office.
