Accused killer Javier Righetti indicted by grand jury
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Javier Righetti, accused of killing 15-year-old Alyssa Otremba in September, was indicted by a grand jury on Friday.
Righetti was indicted on charges of robbery, kidnapping, sexual assault and murder- all with a deadly weapon- in the Sept. 2 killing of Otremba.
Righetti also faces charges related to a prior attack on different young girl in March. He was indicted on charges of kidnapping, attempted robbery, battery and sexual assault in that incident.
Police arrested Righetti on Sept. 5 after Otremba's body was found badly burned in a vacant lot near Grand Teton and Oso Blanca.
The brutal killing of Otremba was detailed in a police report released the week after.
Righetti made his first court appearance on Sept. 8 after being booked into the Clark County Detention Center.
