Members of Nellis AFB establish fund to assist family of murdered teen
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- The 820th RED HORSE Squadron of Nellis AFB has established a fund to assist the Otremba family with funeral expenses for slain 15 year old Alyssa Otremba.
Otremba went missing while walking home on Grand Teton and Oso Blanca on Friday afternoon.
On Saturday evening, the body of a female minor was found in a desert lot in the area.
Metro Police Homicide detectives confirmed the body was that of Otremba's on Monday evening.
The suspect arrested for the crime is 19 year old Javier Righetti. Righetti admitted to stalking and killing Otremba, a crime Metro Police say is one of random violence on a completely innocent victim.
Otremba was a member in the band at her high school. Her death has united the Arbor View High School in grief. The high school has announced it will dedicate every performance this year to Otremba, and the football players will wear helmets with her initials on the side.
Members of the RED HORSE Squadron open this fund to anyone who has been moved by Otremba's story.
Donations can be made at any Wells Fargo location, Routing # 321270742 Account # 6351860611. It is in the name of Tech. Sgt. Anthony Otremba.
