Officials: West Nile virus detected in Logandale pools
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- The West Nile virus is becoming a concern once again the Southern Nevada Health District.
Officials said mosquitoes in two pools around Logandale have tested positive for the virus.
Experts are reminding the public that West Nile can be prevented by using insect repellants and eliminating sources of standing water where mosquitos breed.
The virus is spread by mosquito bites and symptoms include fever, headache, body aches and vomiting.
