LAS VEGAS (AP) -- A court hearing has been set for the alleged ringleader behind Nevada's largest methamphetamine bust on record.

Oscar Cavadas is scheduled to appear in Las Vegas Justice Court Thursday on multiple charges, including drug trafficking.

Prosecutors say Cavadas imported drugs from Mexico with the intent to sell them throughout southern Nevada. The 26-year-old Mexican national and 13 others were arrested after police seized 212 pounds of methamphetamine and heroin during a July 12 drug raid on several homes in the Las Vegas area.

The drugs had an estimated street value of $5.7 million.

Police also seized during the raid $280,000 in cash, six guns and nine vehicles allegedly used for drug trafficking.
