A local mother is hoping to help kids who want to play hockey live out their dreams by easing the costs for parents.

Gina Kielb says hockey is a neglected sport in Las Vegas partly because equipment can cost parents hundreds of dollars.

She recently started Jake Kielb's Hockey Foundation to help eliminate the problem. Kelb says she was inspired to start the foundation because she faced the same problem when her child wanted to play.

Keilb also buys time at local ice rinks and invites hockey coaches to give kids free hockey lessons.
