Lee Canyon Resort is making snow; they're almost ready to open.
Each chair on the lift has to be checked out. It's a lot of work. It'll be worth it soon. Lee Canyon Resort is just a few weeks away from opening.
"We're really excited. You can feel the momentum with all our employees," said Jim Seely, a spokesman for Lee Canyon Resort.
There is some snow on the mountain, but it is not nearly enough for anyone to come up yet. It will take about 80 hours and the right temperatures to get enough snow for skiers.
"We're really praying that it's going to be a great snowfall, but you know whatever happens it's going to be a really good time," said Keleigh Sapp, an employee at Lee Canyon Resort.
While you can't ski yet, you can apply to work at the resort. The big hiring fair at the resort is Saturday, November 18 starting at noon until 4:00 p.m. Hundreds of jobs are up for grabs, both part time and full time.
"We are you know like a little family and we just like to go out, play in the snow, and have fun," said Sapp.
These jobs aren't permanent. The season will most likely end in March.
