A Las Vegas woman tells 13 Action News that distracted, speeding drivers have crashed into her property at the intersection of Sahara Avenue and Winterwood Boulevard almost a dozen times in recent years.

"Probably ten in the last five years," said Dominique Stokey.

Aggressive drivers even interrupted the interview when our 13 Action News team was on the ground.

"We shouldn't probably be standing right here very long," said Stokey.

Stokey shared pictures of the various incidents.  The images show collisions, debris, and police outside her home. In one crash, a red car slammed into the side of her house.

"They had to cut him out," she said.

In another incident, a black vehicle had significant damage on the front end of the car.

"He hit the truck, pushed the truck into the garage door," said Stokey.

The County tells 13 Action News they plan to install a traffic signal at that intersection.

Stokey says she hopes it's a step in the right direction.

The intersection has a tragic history.  Stokey said her son's girlfriend was killed crossing the street in March of 2008.

After the young woman's death,  Stokey said the county installed a raised concrete island to try and alleviate the problem.

We are still working to get a timeline of the installation of the signal.  We will continue to follow this developing story.
