Family and friends are mourning the 22-year-old man shot and killed by his father last week.
Police say Devry Moore stabbed his father several times after an argument, and in response, his father shot and killed him.
It happened inside their home near Mountain's Edge Parkway and Cimarron.
"It's a quiet and peaceful neighborhood," said Ven Chi, a neighbor who lives down the block. "It's shocking to hear that something like this did happen."
Chi says this isn't the first time police have been called to Moore's home for a domestic incident.
Chi doesn't know if Moore or Moore's father was involved, but a few months ago he saw a man come out of the house and approach officers.
"I noticed that the Metro officers kind of backed up and told him, 'Stay where you are,' and it looked like he was preparing to pull his weapon," Chi said.
Moore's family didn't immediately respond to interview requests.
