Henderson police need the public’s help finding a pair of hit-and-run robbers.

Around 5:40 p.m., Monday, a man and woman on a motorcycle, rode up to a 59-year-old woman and grabbed her purse off her shoulder as she walked through the parking lot of Sunset Station hotel-casino. The force of the attack yanked the victim to the ground. The victim was rushed to the hospital with a head injury.

Customers like Ayela Green couldn’t believe it when they heard the news.

“It’s really surprising,” said Green. “In an area like this, I wouldn’t imagine anything going like that.”

Theresa Pasternack said normally, she feels safe here. Pasternak said now, she’ll look over her shoulder.

“It seems like we’re having a lot of that going on lately,” Pasternak said. “I’m very worried now. This is the place that you’d think you’d be OK.”

Christine Clark said anyone who messes with her will be in for a surprise.

“Boom! You’re going to get it from me,” Clark said. “I feel like I could defend myself if need be.”

The male attacker was last seen wearing a gray polo shirt, black shorts and white knee-high socks. The woman was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, dark pants and flip flops. If you have any information, call Henderson police right away.
