Henderson police are searching for a man accused in a violent robbery at Mission Hills Park near College and Mission Drive Tuesday evening.  The victim tells 13 Action News the thief pointed a gun at her baby.

Police said they are following up on all leads.  At this time, they have not released a description of the suspect.

The victim asked that we not use her name because she's afraid.

"I think he was following me," she said, "and he saw an opportunity."

The woman had just withdrawn money from the ATM at Wells Fargo near 95 and Horizon Ridge.

She then drove over to the nearby park.  Her baby boy was in the car seat.

That's when she said she heard a tap on the window.

"Looked up and it was a man standing there with a gun," she said, "he pointed the gun at my son."

The victim said she never spoke; instead, she immediately handed over the cash and her wedding ring.

"Those are such special memories and it's terrible that those reminders of those memories are gone," she said.

The thief then fled.

The young woman is sharing her story because she wants other moms to be extra careful.

"You really need to be aware of your surroundings, you need to know what you're going to do in an instance like that," she said.
