38,000 lbs. of pork sausage recalled in 11 states
A Virginia packing company has recalled thousands of pounds of pork sausage that may contain pieces of plastic, likely from gloves.
The issue has triggered a huge recall.
Smithfield Packing Company is calling back 38,000 pounds of pork sausage.
The U.S. Food and Safety Inspection Service found small pieces of plastic in the sausage after several people complained about it.
The sausages were sold in 11 states and the District of Columbia.
So far, there have not been any reports of injuries.
