Atlanta woman finds wrong pills in vitamin bottle
Atlanta, GA (KTNV) -- An Atlanta woman is pushing for a product recall after finding some mysterious pills when she opened a new bottle of vitamins.
"Went to my pharmacist and I showed him, and he said he's never seen anything like it," said Mary Cheek.
Cheek said she found the capsule-shaped pills, mixed in with chewable Vitamin C, and there was no evidence the bottle had been tampered with.
She also said the seal wasn't broken, "Pulled the seal up, pulled the cotton out and there it was. I found the flat vitamin chew-ables and I found the oblong pills, which were a lot of them."
An Internet search showed the pills are likely "extra strength" 500 milligram acetaminophen capsules.
Cheek said she's afraid the wrong person might take one and have some kind of allergic reaction.
