Good Morning Las Vegas anchors Beth Fisher and Dayna Roselli were recently named Best News Anchors - Morning in Las Vegas during the 21st Silver State Awards.
The Silver State Awards honors excellence and superior achievements by women in Las Vegas. The award ceremony took place Nov. 18. It was hosted by Chet Buchanan, Ian Buchanan and Kendall Tenney.
Dawn Gibbons received the Excellence in Service Award, Elaine Wynn received the Trailblazer Award, Sen. Catherine Cortez Masto received the Leadership Award and Clark County Commissioner Chris Giunchigliani received the Jim Rogers Spirit of Education Award.
The Silver State Awards will ceated in 2013 and there are 5 categories -- Women Awards, Culinary Awards, Latino Awards, Best of the Best Awards and Journalism Awards.
More than 480,000 votes were cast in the previous awards.No fees, purchases or payment of any kind is required to vote, to be nominated or win.
