UPDATE AT 2 P.M. State Routes 156 (Lee Canyon Road) and 159 (near Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area) had to be shut down because of debris and water on the roads, according to Regional Flood Control District.

UPDATE AT NOON: There's been a flash flood warning issued for northwest Clark County including Mount Charleston area. Strong thunderstorms are currently being reported in the Lee Canyon area. Some runoff is possible from the heavy rain.
The Flash Flood Watch has also been extended until 8 p.m. Tuesday.

The rain is on the way. Maybe.
Brief downpours are possible on Monday morning.
Organized storms are more likely later today, possibly lasting until the evening hours, and we can expect lightning and strong winds with the storms. The high temperature on Monday is expected to be 97 degrees.
A Flash Flood Watch is in effect until 5 a.m. Tuesday due to the threat of localized flooding because of slow-moving storms interacting with our high monsoon moisture.
There is also a good chance of rain on Tuesday. The high temperature for Tuesday is expected to be 94 degrees.,
The rain is expected to mostly disappear, at least for a little while, on Wednesday and a high temperature of 102 degrees is expected.
There is even less chance of rain on Thursday and the expected high is about 105 degrees.
Temps will continue to go up as we approach the weekend but the rain could make a return on Sunday.
