UPDATE: 13 Action News got a look at the 100 plus cars that were burned in a three-alarm fire on Friday night at a local tow yard.

ORIGINAL STORY

Firefighters say a brush fire near railroad tracks spread to a nearby tow yard destroying several cars.

Las Vegas Fire & Rescue was called to a brush fire around 6:30 p.m. Friday in the 1400 block of Industrial Road near West Charleston Boulevard and Interstate 15.

The 30 to 40 miles per hour winds produced huge flames that spread to a nearby tow yard.

It took firefighters two hours to get the fire under control, but nobody was injured. Nearly 100 firefighters were needed to fight the three-alarm fire.

There were an estimated 100 to 150 cars at the business, but it was unclear how many of the cars were damaged.

Video clearly shows several of the cars engulfed in flames.
