College Knowledge Challenge launched
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Bill and Melinda Gates are using part of their vast fortune to help students in need.
The "College Knowledge Challenge" encourages people to create apps or websites that will help low income and minority students get into college and thrive.
The foundation will award 30 grants of $50,000-$100,000.
The competition runs through November 16th.
