Consumer spending is up
(Las Vegas, NV)- Even as the economy staggers, Americans were still spending money last year. A new survey by The Bureau of Labor Statistics shows consumers spending on household items rose more than 3% between 2010 and 2011. Household items include things like food, transportation and health care. Overall the survey found average annual spending rose to $49,705. However it's important to note the increase barely outpaced inflation which rose more than 3%.
