An elderly man is in critical condition after being stabbed in the head near Main Street and Foremaster Lane Monday morning.
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department received reports of a fight and a stabbing around 6:54 a.m.
30-year-old Lakisha Hooks stabbed the elderly man in the left side of his head after a brief confrontation. She was taken into custody on attempted murder charges after witnesses identified her at the scene of the crime.
The victim was taken to the hospital. He is not expected to survive.
