A man has been arrested in a deadly shooting that apparently stemmed from road rage Thursday night in northwest Las Vegas.

Las Vegas police identified 62-year-old Jim Reed Davis as the suspect in the shooting. He is facing murder charges.

The incident was reported around 7:15 p.m. at the intersection of Crownbeard Street and Swamp Rose Avenue, which is near Grand Teton Drive and Fort Apache Road.

Police said the suspect shot the victim and then dialed 911. The Clark County coroner identified the victim as 68-year-old Lloyd W. Ullyott of North Las Vegas. He died of a gunshot wound to the head.

Police said the suspect told them that the driver in front of him kept tapping on his brakes so the suspect was honking his horn, trying to get him to go faster. Shortly after, they both pulled over and the victim approached the suspect's car.

The suspect told police he felt threatened and shot him in the head from inside the vehicle.

This is the second shooting this week that started from an apparent road rage incident.
