ORIGINAL STORY:

NORTH LAS VEGAS (KTNV) -- A man has been shot in the 4500 block of Stanley Avenue near Nellis Boulevard and Owens Avenue.

The shooting was reported around 3:45 a.m. Thursday.

Police say that it happened inside a mobile home park in the area. A 40-year-old man was found lying in the street with multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to UMC Trauma and is in critical condition.

Police believe the victim was fighting with another male before the shooting. No one has been arrested at this time. They don't believe that the victim lives in the mobile home park.

Family members walked to and from the crime scene all morning.

"He's such a good-hearted person he has three kids two little ones," said Virginia Roman, the victim's sister. "They need him."

She says her brother was shot twice with one of the bullets puncturing one of his lungs.
