UPDATE ON MARCH 9: The man who was taken into custody has been identified as James Spirig.

A neighbor who lives in the neighborhood is upset because SWAT damaged the garage door on her home during the standoff with Spirig.

They needed to get inside of the garage during the incident, which is not uncommon during such situations.

The neighbor says she understands, especially since there was a child in the house, but is still upset.

There is a fund to pay for damages in cases like this. However, it requires quite a bit of paperwork and takes time. And there is no guarantee that the person who suffered the damage will be reimbursed.
