The Henderson Police Department is searching for a suspect that robbed two convenience stores in the last week.
The suspect entered a convenience store near West Horizon Ridge Parkway and West Horizon Drive around 11:25 p.m. on Dec. 16. Police said he walked up to the clerk and opened his jacket to display a large knife. The suspect handed a plastic bag to the clerk and told her to fill it with money from the register. The clerk complied and the suspect left the store walking westbound.
A similar robbery was reported at a convenience store near Interstate 515 and East Russell Road around 12:15 a.m. on Dec. 11.
The suspect is described as an adult white or Hispanic male in his 30s. He is about 5 feet, 8 inches tall and about 180 pounds. The suspect has a distinctive dark goatee.
The suspect was last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt under a tan jacket, blue jeans, blue tennis shoes with white trim, yellow gloves and black sunglasses.
The suspect is believed to be driving a white Ford F-150 pickup truck. The truck is lifted with custom chrome rims and has a matching colored tonneau cover over the cargo bed.
