As Las Vegas approaches a month since the 1 October shooting, the community and patients continue to heal.

Of the hundreds brought into hospitals around the valley that night, 3 are still being cared for at Sunrise.  At Valley Hospital and UMC, all patients have now been released.

But they'll still face a long road to recovery.  Dr. Dave MacIntyre was working in the trauma department at Sunrise Hospital the night of the shooting.  He says he's proud of the work doctors did in making sure the death roll never rose above the initial 58.

"We're very lucky," he says. MacIntyre says during the shooting, it was his job to prioritize patients being rushed in.  He says they made sure the those with most severe injuries were treated first.

He says as patients are released, many will still need neurological therapy and rehab.
