A local tattoo shop burglary was recently caught on camera.
The owner of Beneath the Surface Tattoo, near Pecos Road and Patrick Lane, says the thief got away with $50,000 worth of equipment. In the surveillance video, the thief went to each of the artists' tool boxes and packing the tattoo guns and other equipment into trash cans before running out.
Now, 5 tattoo arts are scrambling to replace everything so they can get back to work.
The owner says the thief broke the lock on the front door and cut through the security gate to get in.
