An antique store and the ivory inside were targets of a burglary Tuesday morning.

According to police, the alarm went off around 1 a.m. inside B & D Antiques and Consignments, off Main Street near Charleston Boulevard, and when police arrived, the front door was open.

The store near Charleston and Las Vegas boulevards sells antiques, collectibles, coins, Native American jewelry and ivory, the latter being what the owner says is missing from his store.

It is not known how much the ivory was worth, but because of recent laws limiting the buying and selling of elephant ivory, prices have increased.

Police are still seeking a suspect.
