Las Vegas police have found a black Range Rover and identified a suspect in the recent shooting, that caused a Maserati to crash into a taxi and burst into flames.

The person police believe fired the shots is 26-year-old Ammar Harris (Full name: Ammar Asim Faruq Harris).

Harris is described as a black male, about 5'11" and 180 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes.

The Range Rover was found at a Las Vegas apartment complex, near Flamingo and Koval, and has been impounded.

Residents at the complex told Action News they saw SWAT recovering the vehicle, describing it as a very chaotic afternoon.

"We walked out of our apartment, honestly, and there were four of them. It kind of startled us," said Nancy Hyslop.

Around 4:30 a.m. Thursday, police responded to the intersection of Flamingo and Las Vegas Boulevard for a six-vehicle crash.

When they arrived, officers determined the collision was caused by a vehicle that sped through the intersection, after being involved in an altercation, where shots were fired.

Police believe the altercation began in the valet area of the Aria Hotel.

They said Harris, the driver of the Range Rover, fired several rounds from a firearm into a Maserati driven by Kenneth Cherry Jr., also known as Kenny Clutch.

The Maserati sped through the intersection, causing the crash and a car explosion.

The driver of the taxi and his passenger, Michael Boldon and Sandi Sutton, were pronounced dead at the scene.

Cherry and his passenger were both taken to the hospital, where Cherry was pronounced dead.

Three other occupants were taken to area hospitals with minor to moderate injuries.

Harris has an extensive and violent criminal history and is considered to be armed and dangerous. He has several distinctive tattoos, including a heart shaped tattoo below his right eye, and a large owl tattoo on his neck.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Harris is urged to call Crime Stoppers at (702) 385-5555.
