Pregnant women are 15 times more likely to die or get pneumonia if they get the flu.  That's why Dr. Joseph Adashek from Desert Perinatal Associates wants to tell people, it's not too late to get the flu shot.  He says there is no association between the flu shot and any deleterious effects of the baby, since the flu shot is not a live virus.

Desert Perinatal Associates, and their spa Belly Bliss, is also inviting moms for a day of free makeovers.  On Friday, February 8, they will open their doors from 5-8 pm.  Moms can get a free facial cleanse, foot massage, and makeup application.  Light food and drinks will be served, and there will be discounts on select services and retails items.  The open hosue will benefit the local charity, Safe Nest.

Desert Perinatal Associates is located at 5761 South Fort Apache (at Russell).  You can RSVP for their open house by calling 702-597-5158.
