PBS, Boys & Girls Club encouraging physical fitness for kids
Henderson, NV (KTNV) -- Parents and children, school is back in session and it's time to get in shape.
To encourage students and their families to keep physical fitness a priority during the new school year, Vegas PBS and it's "Keeping Kids Fit" program are partnering with Donald W. Reynolds Boys & Girls Club to host the "Back to School & Back in Shape with Keeping Kids Fit" event.
It's scheduled for 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 6 at 2980 Robindale Road in Henderson.
The event will feature fun physical activities for children to participate in, including a relay race, shot put and long jump; healthy lunch demonstrations for parents, with tips for creating nutritious snacks and food; Latin dance routines for both parents and children; and giveaways for every child that participates.
