Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Fresh & Easy is encouraging schools to register for a special fundraising program, just in time for back-to-school.
Last year, schools in California, Arizona and Nevada raised over $2 million. In the Las Vegas area, more than 260 schools participated raising $213,000.
Schools located within a three-mile radius of any Fresh & Easy store are eligible to participate in the program.
School receive $1 for every $20 spent at a Fresh & Easy store from September 12 through December 31, 2012.

The school from Nevada that raises the most money also receives a $5,000 bonus. Schools can use the money for whatever they need most.
