Truckin' Tuesday to include book drive
Tivoli Village is looking to help the local community out on the July 31 Truckin' Tuesdays.
Spread the Word Nevada will be at Tivoli Village holding a book drive. Goodie Two Shoes will also be on hand collecting shoes and socks to donate to under privileged children across Southern Nevada. The two drives are being held in conjunction with the weekly Truckin' Tuesdays event.
Each Tuesday in July, vehicles from agencies and businesses around Southern Nevada gather at Tivoli Village where children are welcome to explore the vehicles and ask questions of the representatives on hand.
Spread the Word is looking for gently used children's books. The charity works to promote literacy and make it possible for all of Nevada's children to experience the magic of books.
Goodie Two Shoes will be collecting athletic shoes that are brand new, boxed and tagged. Children selected to participate in GTSF shoe distributions are primarily school age children (grades K-5).
The event is happening on July 31 from 9 am - noon. Tivoli Village is located at 302 South Rampart in Las Vegas.
