Positively Las Vegas
Comic book donation drive
Las Vegas Critical Care Comics is holding a comic book donation drive on Saturday, June 30.
Critical Care Comics is a non-profit organization, started by Jason Golden who battled leukemia in high school. He says comic books were an escape when he was in the hospital, and he wants to give other children that escape. So he's asking comic fans to donate any old comics or graphic novels, so they can be donated to children in valley hospitals.
The donation drive will take place from noon until 11 pm, at HellPop! in the Arts Factory, 107 East Charleston. There will be raffles, music, comics, a bake sale and a chance to take pictures with the one and only Darth Vader.
