To celebrate April Fool’s Day, Touro University Nevada (TUN) students, faculty and community partners present a free, fun and informative community health fair for the entire family. Visitors can take advantage of free screenings of blood pressure, blood glucose levels, diabetic foot checks, computerized hearing tests and much more.
The Southern Nevada Health District (SNHD) will be offering Orasure (oral) STD testing. Clients wishing to take advantage of this service will receive results within two weeks from the date of the health fair by calling into the provided SNHD phone system.
The Henderson-based Monkey Gym will be hosting a children’s obstacle course in the TUN gymnasium for younger attendees to enjoy throughout the event. In addition to the obstacle course, children can participate in activities provided by TUN’s Center for Autism and Developmental Disabilities.
The fair is taking place on Sunday, April 1 from 10 am - 2 pm. Touro University Nevada is located at 874 American Pacific Drive in Henderson.
