Las Vegas, NV - 17 local Girl Scouts have returned to Las Vegas with a new perspective on the world.  They spent 19 days in India, visiting cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Jaipur and Pune.

The girls got to soak up Indian culture during their journey, getting some Bollywood dance lessons, trying out new foods, and seeing historical wonders.  But the main focus of the trip was service to local
community organizations.

The girls stayed at the new Girl Scout Sangam World Centre in Pune. They helped women and
children served by Deep Griha, Green Tara Foundation and Maher. They also spent four days
participating in literacy awareness, women's health and hygiene, nutrition, building beautification,
and self-esteem projects.
