Tips for your pet's dental health
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- February is National Pet Dental Month, so Dr. Ruth MacPete stopped by Good Morning Las Vegas to share some tips for pet owners.
She says dental disease is the number one health issue affecting 80% of dogs and 70% of cats over the age of three. Yearly check-ups should be done by a veterinarian to identify any signs of dental disease. If your pet already has dental disease, a complete dental cleaning is necessary. But once your pet’s teeth are clean, Dr. MacPete says routine dental care is the best way to maintain dental health.
She says early diagnosis and treatment are the best defenses against serious dental disease. For more info, you can read Dr. Ruth MacPete’s blog at: www.PetHealthNetwork.com.
