Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- The Hope & Health Diabetes Symposium provides type 1 diabetes education for adults, children and the whole family. It's an opportunity to access knowledge from renown diabetes professionals and interact with diabetes supply reps.
The event is happening at on Saturday, Feb. 23, from 9 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. at the Cashman Center. There is no charge to attend, but you must pre-register at www.jdrflv.org.
Type 1 diabetes is an auto immune disease. For some reason, the pancreas of those people affected does not produce any, or enough insulin to keep blood sugars in the normal level. So type 1 diabetics always have the possibility of their blood sugars going too high or too low. There is no cure yet.
