(KTNV) -- The weather is starting to warm up again in Las Vegas but this recent cold snap proved one thing -- pools in Las Vegas can definitely freeze.
One Las Vegas resident thought he could prevent his pool from freezing with a little more sun exposure by using his pool cover.
However, pool man Rick Kennedy says the correct way to prevent a pool from freezing is to turn on the pump. Circulating water will not freeze.
