Radiothon helps raise money for Three Square Food Bank
Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Over the next few weeks, Action News is proud to be partnering with Three Square Food Bank for the 'Fight Holiday Hunger' program.
Wednesday morning, Action News Anchor Beth Fisher was on the air at KJUL Radio to help drum up support. The station is holding a radiothon to raise money.
Typically, every dollar you donate provides three meals. But right now, corporate sponsors are matching donations, so your dollar provides six meals.
"It's individuals going in who still have a household income, but by the end of the month, they can't provide food for their families," said Erica Thompson with Three Square. "They're keeping a roof over their head, but they are turning to our local food pantries in their time of need. So we've definitely seen the face of hunger change significantly."
The radiothon continues on KJUL all day Thursday.
