(KTNV) -- Many of us spend half of our lives at work and employers are starting to realize that healthier employees show up more often and perform better.

They are also starting to realize that health insurance go down.

So, some places like Motley Fool, a financial services company in Virginia, are hiring full-time health specialists or wellness directors.

They hold boot camp workouts in the office and also bring in experts on yoga, meditation and nutrition.

Sometimes, chiropractors are even brought in at the company's expense.

According to one specialist, it is especially important to get people moving around in offices where people spend most of their time sitting.

Here are some simple tips. You should get up from your desk every two hours and walk around the office. You might also want to stand up every time you get an email.

Even small changes can make a difference according to the experts.
