Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- NASCAR is back in Las Vegas. The season is over, but NASCAR Champion's Week is being held in Las Vegas for the 4th year in a row.

There are several events planned for Nov. 28 and Nov. 29, 2012.

Jamie Little, ESPN NASCAR Reporter, and Marivi Cuartin, Director of the NASCAR Foundation, both stopped by Action News Wednesday to talk about the events.

Wednesday, Nov. 28 from 2-4 p.m. the Las Vegas Motor Speedway will kick-off the week with a Fanfest at the Fremont Street Experience.

12 drivers will walk the red carpet, meet fans and sign autographs. They will then compete in a game show, similar to "Are You Smarter than a Fifth Grader."

Then on Thursday, Nov. 29, the annual awards luncheon and industry gathering will be held in the Encore Ballroom at Encore Las Vegas, where several team awards will be presented.

Later on Thursday, the green flag on a fan-favorite, NASCAR Victory Lap, will wave at 3:30 p.m. Pre-lap festivities will begin at 3 p.m. when the top 12 Chase drivers will parade down Las Vegas Boulevard in their race cars with engines roaring.

The lap will start and finish on Las Vegas Boulevard, in front of Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino.

The NASCAR After the Lap will be held from 5-6:30 p.m. at PH LIVE located in the Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino. Tickets are $20.
