Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- An event this weekend could help protect your identity.
"Secure Your ID Day" is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 20 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The event will take place at the Better Business Bureau located at 6040 South Jones Boulevard.
Each person will receive one free credit card protective sleeve to protect you from credit card readers.
Bring cardboard, plastic, aluminum, wood and metal. The event will even recycle your old cell phones through 911 Cell Phone Bank.
Your first 10 boxes are free; it's $10 per additional box.
