"Divas Las Vegas" Star Frank Marino Celebrates 1,000th Show at Imperial Palace in Las Vegas
Superstar female impersonator Frank Marino and the brilliant cast of "Divas Las Vegas" will celebrate the 1,000th show of the dazzling drag spectacular at Imperial Palace Las Vegas on Saturday, July 21. In addition to commemorating this milestone performance, Marino can celebrate the fact that he’s the only entertainer with two stars on the Las Vegas Walk of Fame, has a street named in his honor, his own official day (Feb.1), a key to the city, a branded gambling betting wheel, his own building wrap on the famed Las Vegas Strip and has been named "Entertainer of the Century." Marino has performed in Las Vegas for more than 27 years, making him the longest-running headliner in Sin City. Further cementing his status as an international entertainment icon, he recently appeared on Bravo’s "The Millionaire Matchmaker" and E!’s "Fashion Police." "With 17 costume changes per show, I have had a total of 17,000 costume changes at Imperial Palace. I put the Strip in Las Vegas Strip!" Marino said. A contemporary and upbeat production, "Frank Marino’s Divas Las Vegas" continues to reinvent itself as the only Las Vegas tribute show to feature 17 characters each night. In addition to featuring talented female celebrity impersonations of entertainment’s most beloved superstars like Cher, Diana Ross, Tina Turner, Bette Midler and Madonna, the production was the first on the Strip to add new characters such as Rihanna, Britney Spears and Lady Gaga. Additionally, the show now features a new Katy Perry number featuring the hits "I Kissed a Girl" and "Hot n Cold." Marino narrates the entire production and also performs a comedic pop culture monologue. At 1,000 performances, "Divas Las Vegas" continues to wow audiences from young and old with amazing talent, imagery - most importantly in a divas-style drag show - with stunning costumes and gowns. "Frank Marino’s Divas Las Vegas" is co-produced by Adam Steck and Alex Schechter of SPI Entertainment. Frank Marino’s "Divas Las Vegas" performs six nights a week (dark Fridays) at 10 p.m. Tickets are $39, $69 and $79 (plus tax and fees) and are available at the Imperial Palace box office, online at www.imperialpalace.com or by calling (888) 777-7664.
