SECOND UPDATE: 13 Action News spoke with one of the victim's in Sunday's shooting. Willy Gomez said he was shot five times. It happened as the 33-year-old construction worker was heading home after a night out with friends.

"They tried to kill me, point blank period," said Gomez.

Gomez was with his friend, his friend's mom, and another couple. That's when he noticed a white Lexus.

"I said, hey, you have a nice car," said Gomez.

The two suspects were already arguing, according to police.

Soon, they were exchanging words with Gomez as well.

"I wasn't looking for trouble," said Gomez, "I said, you know what brother, have a good day."

As Gomez walked away, he said one of the suspects grabbed a gun from his car and opened fire.

"Just started shooting like I was nothing, like I was just a piece of trash," said Gomez.

Gomez and three of his friends were shot. But the suspects were not done yet. Police said before escaping in the car, they opened fire once more.

"I feel blessed, I feel like God still has me on this earth for a reason," he said.

Gomez, who works in construction, does not have health insurance. He has set up a GoFundMe account to cover hospital expenses.

He said he's suffering emotionally from this incident as well.

"With animals like that on the street, other people are not safe," he said. "If you see them, call police."
