Nevada leads the nation in 2008 foreclosure rates

A new report shows what many Nevadans may already know.

Nevada posted the nation's highest foreclosure rate in 2008.

The report says that 7-percent of all housing units received at least one foreclosure notice.

Clark County led the state with nearly 9-percent of housing units receiving a notice.

Las Vegas had the second highest city foreclosure rate of 2008.

According to RealtyTrac, state foreclosure notices increased by more than 100-percent since 2007.

And notices saw a 500-plus percent increase since 2006.
