Action News wants to welcome a brand new resident to the Valley.
We are talking about a new desert tortoise who is waiting to move into his new digs in the Red Rock Conservation area.
The 19 year old tortoise will be the new Mojave Max, and will carry on the tradition of predicting when Spring arrives in Southern Nevada.
He is basically our answer to Punxsutawney Phil in Philadelphia.
Sadly, you may recall the original Mojave Max died of natural causes this summer.
Right now, the new tortoise is actually staying at the Desert Tortoise Conservation Center, while his place at Red Rock is remodeled.
We heard he shelled out quite a bit for the view.
